denghue fever

I just found out that a minister's wife, who lives in the capital came down with denghue fever. That wasn't mentioned in our list of worrisome diseases. What about denghue? It may be interesting to note, also, that two cases of malaria were reported last week in one area of New York! Our area is waging an all out war on mosquitoes. What can be done in the DR to eliminate mosquitoes? Do they do aerial spraying at all? or cleaning out of breeding spots?
