Summer in Puerto plata

i would like to get a job workin in Puerto Plata over the summer as an exchange student or whatever. How can I go about doing that? Can anyone give me any information?

Hi...i have been told that this is not as easy as it sounds. But i do know someone who went to the Dominican to help build a church and other buildings, and to also help rebuild from a terrible storm. He did this on a volunteer basis through his church. If you are hoping to get paid for something like this it might be next to impossible because i think you need a work permit which can take a long time to get, and then you would probably not make very much money if any at all. You should call the closest Consulate or Embassy to where you live and they should be able to answer your questions.
