looking for italian village

Could someone please tell me the name of the italian village that was built years ago by a man from italy. He wanted it constructed to replicate his home town. I believe it's located near Santo Domingo or Boca Chica. Thanks

The place is called Altos De Chavon. It is close to La Romana and many artists have shops there. The view is great.
