Default Dominican men

Are all Dominican men players? I was recently in the Dominican Republic and I found that they were hitting on the tourists all of the time. I am planning on moving there for a little while and I am looking for advice and precautions to take while down there.

I have been to the D.R. four times and have found that most of the men are players. They say the same lines and make the same moves on any goodlooking woman who might be their chance at getting off the island or their meal ticket. Be very careful. I fell for it and learned the hard way......

If you don't mind me asking "What Happened". I did meet on guy down there but I think that he realized that he wasn't getting anywhere. I really enjoyed it there and I am wondering what some of the lines are down there. I believed that everything that he said was just a line. He worked on the Catamaran and I believe that this is what all of the workers on there do this kind of thing. Another girl that I met down there also met someone off of the Catamaran. I believe that tour guides seem to be the worse.

Some of you appear to be experts when it comes to Dominican men just because you went to the Island a couple of times, Please!! Give me a break!! Look, I'm Dominican and I will tell you the truth. Yes, most Dominican men are players and I won't deny this. Now, it has nothing to do with them try to get a stinking meal as you called or trying to get off the island(which could be the fact in some cases). However, what I'm trying to say is that most Dominican men fool around even after their married and it doesn't MATTER IF THE'RE IN AFRICA, DOM. REP., OR THE U.S. I have always critized this even in my own family cause I just don't see how it could be ok to them. But there are some good Dominican men who work hard and are faithful to their women. You just need to find them. I'm sorry if I appeared a little angry but I don't like it when people talk without really knowing exactly what they are talking about. Its like me visiting Italy or some place a couple times and decide to make a judgement on all the women there according to how some behaved in that short period of time. I believe that you really need time to really get to know people. A two or four week vacation is not enough for you to really get to know someone. I DON'T THINK SO!!

Yup, we Dominican cats are players, just like if you went anywhere else in the globe. We as men are out there to spread our "demon seeds." I agree, many hit on foreign women to get their ticket off the island but that's not entirely true. Some of us just do it for good ol'...pride - it plays a big role, oh, and our love for women. I apologize if I offended anyone but that's just the way it is.

The fact that Dominican men love women is no different then men around the world. The difference is they are more agressive and open about thier desires. Just like anywhere else I think we all know how to tell the difference between a players pickup line and the desire to get to know a person. I found the Domincan men charming but did use my own common sense when dealing with those charms. I will add: I miss them now that I do not live there. XXOO to all of the beautiful Dominican men.

I agree with what "DR Defender" said - not all are players! Some (and probably most) are players, but hey so are the woman who go down there and want it! Afterall there must be a demand if there are so many DR men offering... One question though - if the DR men are players and know it, then why can't the tourist women be players while they are on vacation? It seems if you hook up with one DR guy for the week, then you can NOT spend anytime with another DR guy....

Unfortunatly, around resort areas there are many poor, imeducated, people, many (not all) are out there to get something out of the dollar bearing turists, there are many prostitutes, money beggers, pickpockers, and street vendors out to get the best out of turist, why shouldn't they, they know you have cash and they want a part of it.

Unfortunatly also, turists think these are your regular Dominicans, they think all dominicans are poor, miserable, bad dressed, undeveleoped and uneducaded.

Most of the local guys who roam the beaches are guys out to pick a "Gringa" someone who will get him out for a drink or better still out of the country and out of poverty.

Regards

I understand that the dominican men are just like the rest of the men around the world except more forward. I was wondering if all of them use the same lines. I found that I heard the exact same thing from many different guys. When I was there I was just looking to have a good time and I found they provided it but now with my considerations of living there, I want to know what to watch out for. Where to stay away from and even what are the exciting things to do. So if anyone has any insight on this information, it would be greatly appreciated.
