Ferry to Puerto Rico

I understand there is a Ferry that goes from the DR to San Juan Puerto Rico. I need to know where it leaves from in the DR and approximately how much it costs. I need to go from the DR and return a month later in order to catch my return flight to the US. Would it be less expensive to fly? Thanks

The ferry is cheaper, approx. $120.00 US. Plane is approx. $190.00 US. This is for travel done after May 18th. (summer). Be aware that the ferry's destination is Mayagüez, a city about 2 hours and 30 minutes driving time, travel to San Juan is 20.00 US. You should get a free ride to San Juan if you ask a passenger travelling with his car. The ferry leave from the Almirante Cristobal Colón Pier, located on the Malecón were it meet the Ozama river.

John Thanks for the info. From what city/town does the ferry leave in the DR. Also we were glad to hear that it goes to Mayaguez as my wife's final destination is San Sebastion which as you probably know is not far from Mayaguez. Her family is from there.
