LAX to DR Sky High Airfares

I've been looking into airfares for Nov 10 to 19 2000. Cheapest I can find from Los Angeles to Puerto Plata or Santa Domingo is around $850US to $910US. Anybody have thoughts on how to get the best fares?

From LAX to POP the fare is $752.80 P/P R/T including all taxes and service fee.

check apple vacations or funjet vacations..sometimes they sell air fare only... at least from chgo they do.. i pais 375 US in march for one week air only into puerto plata.. go on apples webb site and click on "sizzlin specials" and then los angeles...
