Buying of Land

My family has land in Dominican Republic it was sold to a private buyer by our goverment. We have yet to get paid for this land from the goverment. Who is the person in charge in The goverment for payment of this land?

Please respond it would be greatly appreciated.

Depending just which organism of the government has appropriated the land: Reforma Agraria, Mega Proyectos or such, then you have to go to Bienes Nacionales with your Titles and claim the money. Believe me they won't come to your door with a check.

I'm curious to know how they got ahold of the land and sold it legally in the first place if your family owned it? Please explain.
