I would tend to say not-as all they seem to do is act as middleman and don't really offer anything except very controversial opinions. Especially because according to the
public bulletin board just a few months ago they did not answer up to the controversy
over whether or not Dominican REpublic is a decent place to save
your money. By that I mean ofcourse the banks must be sworn to utmost secrecy and never tell anyone else about your account especially your national government whether it be US ,CAnada or whatever. According to some local answers to the question
"Bank Accounts do they REALLY TELL?" The general concensus is that they probably do which ofcourse means Dominican REpublic is a lousy place to save your money and not a decent tax haven - worse than Antigua for example. However Arscot Advisory is constantly touting Dom. Rep. as a good place to invest superior to the Bahamas for example and never
answered up to their misleading the public assuming these other people knew what they were talking about. They had read enough
of these messages so if they are reputable they will answer up
to the present and past discrepancy - if they don't then they
are suspect. It seems that Panama is a better place to business.
The last thing one wants is a Dominican bank telling your government you have so much money in a bank account or so much
worth of investments and so forth.

My take on them differs from Bill's.
However, I only know them as friends and not as investment advisors. Personally, I feel that theyare at least "honest"/..
I do know that if I were going to invest money to avoid taxes I would personally talk to my advisor, and ask the questions directly.
there are several banks here that will not report on your accounts, but then you had better ask each banker exactly what they do or not do.
And there are many other ways to hide money with high degrees of security and decent returns. But you have to know the country and the people to partake of this.
Here is just one: Shares in banks typically may pay up to 25% per year in yield...Get some and sit back and relax....

Don't be nieve all Ascott is is middleman and we know how useless middlemen are .All they will do is introduce you to the banks or whatever and it's you and the bank from then on - Arscott takes no responsibility.
Plus they will get a commission for introducing you to those you could easily do yourself and save the commission!!
