You get caught here, I hope you have plenty and I mean plenty of dollars to get youself out of jail. 5 years in a Dominican jail ain't no fun.

Ram, by "some interesting European cities" I suppose you mean, amongst others, Amsterdam. A small amount for personal use is allowed in Holland and you can buy it legally in so-called "coffeeshops". Any selfrespecting town here has one.
But beware,any amount bigger than fits in your fist will make you a dealer to the police and land you in jail. The Dominican Republic considers any amount illegal. Some Dutch tourists have discovered that DR customs agents do not share the tolerance exhibited in this country, and righthly so.

answers you got, drugs are a big time bad thing to even attempt here. Jails are not nice.
What your answers didn't tell you is equally important: If you even LOOK like you might be involved in drugs, you are in for a hard time. Your dress, your attitude, your language will be judged by Customs, NIA, Police and such, "just in case".
Joe Clean is much easier than Joe-in-the-Know, if you catch my drift.
So if you look the part, don't depart, as Johnny C would say..
