we recieve a visit from the tourism persons and they make us 48 hours to register our horse rentals at our hotel. in the other time with the PLD we never recieve a threat to close our busines. what kind people these PRD?

There are 200+ bars in Sosua and probably 80% if not more, are not legal. And it's that 80% that are making it difficult for the others to survive. When you pay Sales Tax, Income Tax, Social Security for employees and I can go on, and your competition doesn't even pay electricity most of the time, much less taxes, guess what? These people can undersell you and make it very difficult for you to survive, plus they are not contributing to the development of the Country. I think we all have the obligation to give something back. After all we are making a living here. I don't have a problem with Dominican owned (Small) businesses getting away with this (Their customers are mostly Dominicans anyway and don't have that extra money) but others should be required to conform. As for your horse rentals, I can't make any helpful suggestions but hope things work out for you.

I wouldn't get oeverly concerned. It could have been a couple of Tigres. I am not aware of any Inspectors working during this period of the Xmas Holidays. But, who knows. Just tell them that they're right and that as soon as your attorney gets back after New Years, he will take care of all that. Good Luck

You havent seen anything yet they will invent every one out of buisness so they can have it all. They cancilled a very efficent girl in the post office in the Zona colinal she handled everything by herself and things worked fine. They now have three new ones working there they can not read or write if you want to fill out a form to send certified mail the girl gives you the form you fill it out yourself. Happy prospects for the future 4 years.
