Temporary Work Permit ?!?!
Hi, I am moving to DR on 2nd March - Rio San Juan on the North Coast to be with Fiance (who is Dominican). My parents after obtaining a US green card 2 years ago are sponsoring me to get a green card, to which once I have it, myself and my other half will be moving to Florida. This is to be a year or two.
Now I dont want to apply for residency in the DR (only) because we are only going to be there for 1/2 years, so there is no point as it will cost money and may cause problems or complications with US green card. But... (sorry for babling on) Although I will have money from the sale of my house here in England, I would really like to be able to work in the DR to get extra money for when we move and to keep busy (ish) even if it is only part time work.
Is there anyway of getting either a work permit without residency or some form of temporary work permit, as I really dont want to work without one and run the risk of getting in trouble.
