Barcelo Palace

I have booked the Barcelo Bavaro Palace for the end of March and was wondering if any one has stayed there and has a favorite building or room that I should try to get, and how to obtain my preference.
Do you think e-mailing the complex a week ahead would be a good idea? Any tips would be greatly appreciated! thank you!

Congratulations you have selected a beautiful property. I have stayed there 5 times! My experience is they can only give you whats available unless you develop a relationship over a period of time. Buildings 3,4,5 seem to be the best location wise so select on of these. Building 6 borders the property and on side faces nothing pretty much so try to stay away fr4om no. 6.

we have been there 6 times .we like room 4084 because it overlooks the ocean from the deck outside the room. it is also away from the noise of the pool etc.have a great time ,we love it there.
