Default Government Curruption

It is unfortunate that the government is not committed to eliminate corruption within the government. The only way to stop these abuses is to imposes stiff sentences for official involved in corruption.

The government must do an internal audit of its' self and seek out those that have abused their power. Until serious messure are not taken to stop this diseas the Dominican Republic will not see any real progress and will alway lack behind.

I couldn't agree more with you Victor! I've always been displeased with the whole corruption ordeal, it just makes me sick to see how my people are so GREEDY. Personally I have never trusted them and I don't know if I ever will in this lifetime. All they do is take care of their stomachs while our people wonder in hunger. For all I care they could all burn! I really don't mean to be so harsh but I really get emotional when it comes to that issue of corruption. They're a bunch of leaches!

How do you get rid of a legacy that is more thatn 500 years old, probably since the discover of the Americas? No matter what you do you will never eliminate corruption. It is the same for all Latin American countries.

Its a problem in EVERY country. The only difference is the level and blatenness of the corruption, which tends to be higher in developing countries.

True, but in most developing countries they have turned it into an art form. How much money does one need. Unfortunately, its the poorest of the poor that suffer.

A very good move. But is there any knowledge about what is really possible to do - but censorship so you don't even hear about it - whithout this good old corruption system ?
