Traveling to Punta Cana

I'm new to this particular board...so if this seems to be repetitive of any previous post I'm sorry! A group of us are traveling to Punta Cana, staying at Barcelo Bavaro Beach Resort in April...looking for info on travel to LaRomana from Punta Cana. Is it worth the trip and how long of a trip and what should we use for transportation? Also are the fun buggy's worth the $? I would appreciate any info anyone can e-mail me or respond with. Have done a lot of traveling to different islands...this is sure to be different, but exciting! can't wait!

You can take the Guagua from La Romana to Higuey for about 40 pesos and then change to the bus to Bavaro. BBR is the very first resort you will come to after about 25 mins. This bus costs about 20 pesos and is really the best way to get there. Im always amazed how you can take a guagua to paradise! Good luck.
