The resort itself is very nice looking but if you are looking for good food and service I'd go elsewhere. The beach is long and wide with plenty of chairs. The pool as well is huge , also with plenty of chairs. So really depends on what you're looking for. If you like french fries and chicken for most meals you'll be fine!

We are looking for a place where we can relax and meet some people. Are there alot of couples? Is the food terrible? Have you been there? When? What was the atmosphere like? thanks-Jeannine

Was there in October, don't know where Allen stayed but can tell you the food was quite diverse and of decent quality.
There was beef, chicken, seafood, fresh made pasta, a large variety of salads and deserts, many beverages and yes they do have hamburgers and hot dogs. If you go hungry it will be your own fault.
Anyway, the hotel was very clean and beautifully laid out,the beach is very clean and the pool is enormous.
If your just looking to relax and not spent your nites bar hopping I think you will enjoy this hotel. However be advised that English is not the primary language so take a little english spanish dictionary and try learning some basic phrases
such as, Hello,Please and Thank You and you will find that the Dominican staff will be more than helpful. The European staff tend to be on the arrogant side, but that tends to be their nature.
Just try to keep an open mind and remember that things just don't happen in the D.R. quite as fast as you might expect in the U.S.
Also it definitely is not a 5 star hotel by American standards maybe 2.5 - 3 star.
Remember everyone has different expectations and what I might like you might not, just go with an open mind and enjoy.

And one last thing, BEWARE of the casino I would advise to stay away unless you are familiar with the games. Have read alot of bad reviews on the casino,I'm not a gambler so I never even went inside. Don't let it ruin your vacation.
Go and Enjoy!!!
