TRANSLATING LETTERS

I have met a dominacan lady, and we have promised to write, but as i do not speak, read, write, or understand, spanish to any degree, and her english is about the same, I was wondering if there was any hopeless romantics out there that wouldn't mind translating a few letters, both ways for a while, I am going to start learning spanish right away. If there is any one out there e-mail me or leave a message and i'll get a hold of you. YOU WOULD BE SAVING MY LIFE NOT TO MENTION PROBABLY CHANGING MY LIFE. THANK YOU

For very basic translation, try www.translations.com. You can type in or cut/paste the item you want translated and then with the click of your mouse convert Spanish to English or vice versa. German, French, Portuguese, and Italian translations are also available. It's not exact, but it helps...and it's FREE!! Good luck, Sarah

Hi James - There are a couple of different translators that I use online. You have to understand that sometimes things dont translate exactly the right way - but for the most part it works ok.

Try http://babel.altavista.com/translate.dyn or http://www.freetranslation.com. Personally I like the second one better.

Yeah, I agree with Pat. www.freetranslation.com is pretty good. I know exactly how you feel. Only about a month ago I was in this exact same situation. Except I can't even write my girl letters because there is no mailing address where she's at. I have to call and it gets pretty expensive. Sorry - I disagree. Not everyone is looking for a sponsorship to leave. I have several friends who are just looking for love and friendship - not MONEY. Not everything is about money.

My wife and I are very happy thank you. SHE NEVER ASKS ME FOR MONEY AND EVEN WHEN I OFFER SHE PREFERS TO SAY NO. SHE HAD A SUCESSFUL CAREER IN THE DR AND A VERY GOOD LIFESTYLE. ANYBODY FROM ANY COUNTRY THAT HAS TO CHANCE TO IMPROVE THEIR SITUATION WILL DO IT. Do you really think that poorly about people. There plenty of people here in Canada and the US that are looking for a meal ticket. My Dominican wife is wonderful and very independent.

I didnt say all Dominicans are like that but there are alot of them out there and where I come from there is alot of Dominicans and all they are is about money and papers and I feel that is not right.Do you feel it is right that all people want is papers and money I wish i could have a FREE MEAL TICKET but I was born in the USA and I dont need to go anywhere the money is so here
