SDQ to POP

I know that I've asked this question before, but it just dawned on me that I have been anticipating a short flight from Las Americas Airport to POP, when I think that Air Santo Domingo only flies from HEX airport. Is this true? If so, how far of a taxi ride is it from Las Americas Airport to Herrerea (sp?) Airport, and about how much for 2 people. This will be the last time I ask, hopefully. And yes, I am aware of the option of the bus, but I would rather be on the North Coast as fast as possible for a cold Presidente.

The Herrera airport is where you have to fly out of, unless you
are flying on one of the major carriers or a Charter.. I've
used Carribe-Air before for this flight myself.
Taxi ride to Herrera should take about an hour, depending upon
traffic.. Average time should be about an hour, for safety
aim for 1.5 hours.. Arrange your flight in advance, otherwise
it is possible that the flight will be cancelled due to lack of
passengers. The Taxi should run you about 400-600 pesos one
way to the Herrera Airport from Las Americas Airport..
