Ocidental Espanlda in Sousa

Our family has just booked into a inexpensive last minute trip to Sousa Dominican Republic. We are staying at the Occidental Expanalda

This is the first time we have ever stayed in an all inclusive, so our expectations are quite low... we just want a fun family holiday for a week. I've heard this town has an interesting European atmosphere... we usually avoid tourist areas and are more comfortable roughing it.

Has any one ever stayed here before?
What should we expect from the town?

A friendly atmosphere, a beach that is great fun on Sundays when all the locals come there. A lot of turists, especially from Germany, good restaurants. And it is not hard to go away from it all. Just take a bus or a gua-gua or simply walk up the hills. People are friendly, a little spanish is a great help outside town. Weather is marvellous.

I think the name of the hotel is La Esplanada .
I stay there 3 times . It's about 1 km from the beach . The hotel is good , the food is good .
But most of all , enjoy yourself . Have a nice vacation .
