Iberostar - Puerto Plata

Hi,
I am going to this hotel the week after Easter. My questions are is there a reef on the beach for snorkeling. Some reviews I read on Debbies site there is and some said there isn't. How is the beach? Is it clean? Some reviews said it was dirty and some said it was beautiful. I am interested in the ATV tour. Has anyone done this. I am concerned that it will be too hard for me to keep up. I'm pretty active but I read that this tour can be challenging. Will my 15 year old son be able to drive one by himself?
