There are to my knowledge no tourist hotels in the region, but you can chose from many local places. La Vega is quite big for beeing a province and offers the following features - La Vega vieja, which are ruins from the first settlers in the region and there is also a nice abbey on the hill. The people live there from cane, fruits and fishing, apart from all the business of beeing a town next to the main road! It is a nice place and the people are friendly like on all places on the countryside!
