Default BUGS ON THE SOUTH COAST

HOW ARE THE MOSQUITOS IN JUNE? IS THIS ONE OF THE HOTTEST MONTHS IN D.R.? ALSO, I'M STAYING AT THE SANTANA BEACH RESORT WHICH I'VE READ IS NEAR A SUGAR CANE FIELD SO THERE'S MORE PESTS BUZZING AROUND. IS THIS TRUE? IT SOUNDS AS THOUGH SANTANA BEACH IS VERY ISOLATED. WILL PUBLIC BUSES RUN THROUGH THERE THAT WE COULD TAKE TO SANTO DOMINGO OR PUNTA CANA? HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST? THANKS EVERYONE.

The cougar canes are not treated by any chemicals over here as far as I know! The major part of the canes next to the Santana Beach Resort have been cut recently, so there should be no problem anyway!

There are no busses going through the Resort, as it is well off the road! I do not know, if they have a transportation unit organised (I guess not), so you would have to take a Taxi!

For the mosquitos - I just have no Idea, this sometimes is locally very different, but the mayor season for this buggers is in fall, when we have lots of rain and therefore lots of breeding ground!

See u' here!
