Ciao Favio

Dovi dire in inglese "I am an Italian and I am looking for a girl to marry" e in spagnolo "soy un italiano y busco una muchacha para casarme con ella"

Buona fortuna!! ci sono molti ragazzi disponibile. Spero che trovi la ragazza di tuo sogno.

It's not Dovi dire, it's devo dire.

Katia,

Thanks for the correction. However, It should have been DOVEVI DIRE or DOVRESTE DIRE but not DEVO DIRE. DOVI DIRE is a slang from the southern part of Italy (Reggio Calabria) where I spent 7 years of my childhood.

DEVO DIRE = I must say/ I have to say
DOVEVI DIRE = You should have said (informal)
DOVRESTE DIRE = You should have said (formal/plural)

DOVI DIRE = DOVEVI DIRE (except it is street language. not in dictionary)

You are right about the slang part. My dad is from Il Molise, more precisely, the city of Campobasso and I have never really picked up the correct pronunciation of Italian. I speak the dialect.

Thanks,
Katia
