can domenicans travel to europe

we would like to invite a friend, a DR-citizen, to europe this summer for a 2 week holliday, may we expect problems...are domenicans free to travel...are there local travell-agencies who can provide air-tickets...we would be very pleased to hear your experiences? ann en michiel from Belgium

Yes, DR-citizens can travel to Belgium if you sent them a precisely written invitation. Deze brief dient duidelijk te maken dat het een tijdelijk verblijf betreft en dat de vakantieganger geen last zal zijn voor de Staat Belgie. Be sure that your friend can show a returnticket and sufficient cash (not a fortune) upon arrival. The Rijkswacht will check this thouroughly. And be patient with the Belgian representative, but make sure they know you are on their case. Stuur van tijd tot tijd een mail om te vragen naar stand van zaken. A stay in the tropics tends to make them lazy. Veel geduld en succes gewenst.

Don't know how it is to travel to Belgium but I know that to obtain a visa for Germany is a long process.
