Hillbilly, I am wondering if you could tell me more about Mao. Specifically, you mentioned writers from Mao. What are their names? Who is Biencito Gómez? Which restaurants would you go to in Mao? Thanks!

Unfortunately i cannot locate my source book on Mao--"mao y su Gente" I remember Reyes as a well know poet and there were a few more...Of course Jose Francisco Pena Gomes claimed to be from Mao..and he wrote a lot!!

As for restrauants--Any of theones near the center of town are pretty good. There is one, with a thatched roof, over by the PRD
party headquarters...excellent, hearty food...

Hey I'm a Reyes. Maybe that is why I seen so many buisnesses with the last name Reyes when I was there. Not that it means anything just weird to see so many people with that last name since I hardly ever known anybody with it!
