Default shrub's approval rating . . . *PIC*

~~~ Bush's approval rating drops like a rock ~~~
Friday, May 11
From Keating Holland,
CNN.com
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President
Bush's approval rating has dropped from
its honeymoon high amid rising concerns
about the country's energy situation, but
rising gas prices and West Coast
blackouts are not the only reason for the
decline in Bush's numbers, according to a
new CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll.
Bush's job approval stands at 53 percent,
compared to 62 percent last month,
according to the poll.
Default Re: What does GWB's rating have to do with the DR?
I bet plenty of other people are wondering the same thing.
By the way, Bush clearly has a higher percentage of people that approve of his performance, than voted for him. Further, his approval rating is virtually unchanged since just before he took office in January, when his approval rating was 54%. Among those who voted for Bush, 77% approve of his current performance. Most of those who disapprove of Bush's performance, do so based on the slow down of the economy and the stock market, which are the complete fault of the previous administration.
Bill Clinton and his party have seriously damaged the US economy via the anti-trust suit against Microsoft, which signaled the fall of the Nasdaq and triggered the huge economic slowdown in the technology sector, the most promising sector of the US economy. Lets hope GWB's administration can put this thing to bed by dropping the case.
Nah, it was Reagan breaking up the "Bells" that started the economic downturn
It's always amusing how the oppostition party can take credit or place blame on the other when thing aren't going well. if the economy were to miraculously make an upturn, it would be due to "shrubs" marvelous economic policies, down is Clinton's fault. Again, the Republicans want it both ways, NEVER taking the blame for their ineptitude.
Anyone want to take bets on Shrub being a one timer AND the Dems taking control of Congress in 2002?
The economic UPTURN started due to Reagan's economic policies, but I agree that ANY applicaton of anti-trust law is BAD for capitalism, good for communists and fascists. Hands off, please.
Shrub? Never heard of him/her.
Support for big business is support for Capitalism. That's the side I'm on.
I really would not blame the economy on Clinton Or Bush...most people know that it's Alan Greenspan who's been toying with the economy for a while....on the other hand i WOULD give Clinton credit on disgracing the Presidency and disgracing this country. Now, if i didnt mention the Presidency part which Clinton would you have thought i was talking about....think about it
Default Never heard of Shrub
Jim I'm suprised. I thought all good Americans knew that a "shrub" was a Bush that hadn't sucked enough of the money out of the American Public to be full growed Bush yet
Default 62% >>> 53% {:^) {:^) {:^) {:^) {:^) {:^) {:^)
>>> "Most of those who disapprove of Bush's performance, do so based on the slow down of the economy. . ." <<<
The energy policy position of the "Cheney/ shrub" administration is currently taking it's share of hits (negative press). If big oil was any tighter with Cheney and Bush, diamonds would be popn' out their A...., if you get my drift. If you read the entire article (use the link) you'll see clearly that US voters DISAPPROVE of the sweet hart deals being proposed to stuff billions of dollars into pockets of US energy producers. When US voters were polled with this question: "Which should the US emphasize, energy production, or energy conservation", clearly the numbers are against the "arrested one", with the poll saying 47% conserve, 35% production. The short sighted, non sequitur energy policy of "Cheney/ shrub" is clearly having an effect on the economy of the US.
>>> "What does GWB's rating have to do with the DR?" "I bet plenty of other people are wondering the same thing." <<<
Glad you asked. I'll use the very words that have appeared here on the pages of DR1 to show you why the two are connected. Finance Minister Fernando Alvarez Bogaert (of the DR) has attributed the drop in growth (of the DR economy) to high petroleum prices and the slow down of the US economy <<<*.
>>> "Most of those who disapprove of Bush's performance, do so based on the slow down of the economy. . ." <<< (Jim Hinsch, see above)
So there you go, connected. . .
Regards,
. . . CES
