where is it?

There is some place/town in DR, I don't know the
exact name of it however, I believe is pronounced
"hamina" or "amina",does anyone know where this is?

Any tips regarding the name of the town/place (I'm not sure if it's a town) and/or location will help.

It is possibly near Santo Domingo. I'm more lost than a non-native, but I desperately need to find this place.

That place is located in the North East coast of the country close to Miches (kown for its boat people)! But we have also a section in Santo Domingo called Los Mina, which in fact is not one of the richest parts in town! I guess this is the part you are looking for! (Located between Av. San Vicente De Paul and Av. Venezuela)
