Peña Gomez condecoration...What a mess

The fabulous government of Mr Hipolito Mejia (PRD-party) has come with the mighty idea of creating by presidential decree a Honorable distinction named after extinct Jose Francisco Peña Gomez..(PRD party)
What kind of government does assign such honors to a person that during the 1994 elections called its party members to the streets to riot the country and boycott the elections on grounds that a fraud had been committed and that the democracy of the Republic had to be “defended”.. I am SURE another story would prevailed today if the outcome of that election was in his favor..
A person that literally said “ The Dominican Republic will catch fire” if the elections of that year where not called off.. (only the JCE has the jurisdiction to call off elections not a political Party )
A looser who’s only tribute was to serve its party members. What a more clear example than the “forced” changes to the constitution in that electoral year (1994) to accommodate the next elections of 1996 to his advantage.. among other things rising the percentage to win the presidency to 50%+1..!!
A mediocre politician that widely spoke against corruption but defended such known corrupts like former Venezuelan President Carlos Andres Perez..
A disorganized Dominican ( Typical to many PRD members) that fomented the thought that poverty was created by investing in the Macro economy instead of inverting directly into the slums and “true” Dominicans..
A disorganized politician that fomented demagogy and disorganization in every aspect..
Yes people just a disorganized government like Hipolito’s (PRD party) could have come with the brilliant idea of ranking this “Dominican” among such heroes like our father Juan Pablo Duarte.
Yes Mr president go ahead and reward every party member that brought back “macuteo” with the Peña Gomez condecoration.
Yes Mr president go ahead and name all the public works halted, in the name of disorganization, like the Autopista las Americas, after Peña Gomez..
Condecorate Guido Gomez Mazara with the Peña Gomez distinction by making honor to his memory in trying a repeated “forced” change to the constitution by altering the percentage to win the election of 2004..(this time by lowering it to 40%)..
Go ahead and name the Sto Domingo slum area’s that organize themselves to not pay their electricity bills after Peña Gomez..because that’s what Peña Gomez meant to this country ‘TO ORGANIZE THE DESORGANISATION”…

A worried Dominican..

you got all the reasons to be worried.if you look around you may start to notice that the dominican elite and middleclass seems to be preparing an exodus.
at least that is the feeling i am getting speaking to many of them.those with outside residences are heating up their old contacts and are starting to close their businesses.we know in new york it's not so good but a lot better than here right now.
the worrying aspect of this is the bleeding out of intelligence and economic power.what is left is the good for nothing rest and those who just couldn't make it.
3 years and 3 month is a looooong time to go.

By renaming every thing insight the "head agronomist" is only calling attention to his own short comings, just a thought. . .
