Are there sharks in the Dominican Republic? Also are there any snakes or other animals to be wary of?

You may find sharks with two legs everywhere! (Forget the ones in the sea!)

The snakes are harmless and you will be lucky, if you see one!

Of course we do also have scorpions and wolfspiders, but you harldy will see them, because they live in the wild and not in the Hotels and Touristareas!

In some regions we do have Black Widows (a black spider with red stomach), but unless you look out for them you probably never see one! (Even finding them is sometimes hard!)

Lets put it that way - in all the time I live here - I never ever heard of an accident with local wildlife and tourists!

Austraila is realy far more dangerous!
