Default NEED help again except this time about NY

Well I decided to bring my problem to the board since I find it has been useful with advice regarding DR. Recently I lost my job. And well I have been to all the websites: jobtrak, monster, flipdog, usajobs, hotjobs etc etc. I have went to agencies as well and even went to 26 federal plaza. The point is that I have been looking and looking. I had plans to leave to DR by the end of this year and now I feel desperate because I have no job anyone have any suggestions as to where else I can go any suggestions I was looking for entry level paralegal and legal secretary work but at this point it does not matter as long as its in NY. So any suggestions.

Default Are you already in New York???

Your message is a little confusing as your IP shows you posted this from New York?

If you are, this is the wrong board, lorts of USA employment sites on the net. Get out and network, it's often not what you know but who.

You could try going to the major law firms in NY and talking with their personnel departments...something might come from that...try some of the ones that have International Law sections where your bi-lingual abiltities would be appreciated...you can discover this at the library...there is a book, can't think of the name of it now, but a librarian would know, that lists every attorney and law firm in the US and it breaks down by specialty and location....then you will know who to target first in your search. Good luck!

And! Have you tried the temporary agencies, like Kelly Girls, etc. There is a high turnover rate at the temp agencies because the really good workers are frequently offered permanent positions. Keep your spirits up...it will come.

Default You have lots of resources...

Try the newspapers, search engines, friends etc.
Go to any search engine and type in "paralegal jobs new york"
You will get hundreds of listings, try google.com

Must be lots of paralegal openings with all the lawyers in NY :-)

It may sound like a joke but try teaching.
If you have a B.A.
go for it. 12,000 teachers are retiring this year.
There will be a lot of room to fill.
