Default Traje Tipico

Hi everyone!

I am the president of the United Dominicans Association at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. We are planning some activities for Hispanic Heritage month here at school and I would like to do a piece on our trajes tipicos and bailes such as el merengue tipico, bachata and perico ripiao. If anyone has any info please email me. Our office of tourism here had all sorts of good stuff but when this new poltical party came into power they sent everything back to DR instead of leaving it here for the public to view.

Thanks!

There are two great books on Dominican music, Deborah Pacini Hernandez' Bachata and Paul Austerlitz's Merengue: Dominican Music, Dominican Identity
