I don't know exactly the difference between Punta Cana and Bavaro.
I suppose they are the same beach in different areas, but I'm not sure, can anybody help me?

Yea Punta Cana is a little bit to the south from Bavaro. Bavaro Palace has the nicest stretch of Beach on Bavaro and Club Med has the nicest stretch of beach on Punta Cana each was the first there in their respective areas.
It´s basicly the same. Punta Cana is the nearest city from Bavaro Beach. The majoroty of the Resorts are located in Bavaro Beach. (and most of the advertise Punta Cana)
