Last notice: Problem with TW and people like that

To all my Canadian,American and Dominican friends who think differently from Tourist Watcher.
The recent thread on world class cities and its humorous appendages proves one point.It's that those of us either born in Canada,USA and Western Europe or who have lived her most of our lives think differently from people like Tourist Watcher.
People like Tourist Watcher are the typical wealthy Dominican who has spent most of his life in the DR.These people are self-centered. They will defend the DR as fanatically as those religious zealots in the Mideast.
Yes you said numerous times how you lived in Chicago but your way of being is identical of the DR people.You like to brag about what you have.You like to be seen in awe by what you have.
Some of the people that posted on the subject have more than you do.The difference is they don't have an ego complex when it comes to what they own.
Keep defending the DR, but until people like you change, the DR is going to continue to be place where flaunting is a way of life.

It will also be a place where there is little concern for the overall welfare of the society.

While appreciate some of the points TW has made, He clearly is out of his league and lacks understanding of what REAL money is about and what makes a truely wonderful city. REAL money is a lot quieter and secure... Those who flaunt it are new to money and without real taste or class. Elvis Presley is a great example

I truely love the DR myself but I avoid the capital like the plague.....

All places have their faults and benefits. It is just a matter of what is important to the individual concerned

We have a guy here is totally full of himself. People like that have nothing, get no sex and try to make themselves to be someone they wish they were.

Obviously he is immature. He thinks he is a pimp (based on his alleged sexual conquests). He needs to stay in his little hole and grow up and one day he may be accepted by society.

Can't argue the subject, so you attack/discredit the person? Reminds me of a couple other people on this board.

If it were the case (which I see no evidence), does it have anything to do with the subject?

Yo DR in ATL: While we're on the subject of dinero, I agree in avoiding the capitol but I never avoid capital.

Read the subject...its all about discrediting a person that had it coming to him. If you disagree..you have the right, but the whole point of everyone's comment in THIS thread, not the other, is to discredit TW. Got it?

Jim, one other comment.....If you agree with TW, then the real question is.....who's intelligence failed?

Because I understood the subject matter in this thread and stated my opinion does not mean failed intelligence. Maybe you need to take an IQ test yourself to see if you brain function properly....Buddy!

I was only referring to that one message. It reminded me of the style of another poster, who when cornered with facts, tries to belittle the messenger to strengthen their own argument. Comments like:

I agree with much of what TW says.
"World Class" is subjective, so there can be no right or wrong.

It's been interesting hearing some of the features and flaws of Santo Domingo.
