I found many of these posts informative and amusing. However, the majority of people worldwide are simply people working everyday to make ends meet, pay their bills, ect.

How come no one wants to admit that they are not rich? Is their a stigma attached to people from the developing countries who would never admit that they are just ordinary folk like myself?

I am definately not rich, nor do I try to pass myself off as such. When I go to the DR I try to enjoy what my budget will allow. If I eat at Neptunos or Fernandez or La Criolla, to me the most important thing is to enjoy the culture, people, climate.

I do not go to the DR to try to impress anyone, nor will I go to locations that are way out of reach for my pocket book.

I work hard all year round, so when I go to the DR for vacation or any other country, I do so within my means.

From my own experience what I have found is that the ones who tell everyone how much they have, usually have very little.
