Direct Deposit

Need info for direct deposit of pension and or Social Security checks to the DR from the US. If you are receiving funds from the US or know of someone who is, what bank are you/they using? What complications are there? The "check's in the mail" stinks.

I have my check direct deposited to an account (checking) in an US bank,then cash the check here in Santo Domingo.I cash the check at Agente de Servicios S.C.T.,S.A., Ave. 27 de #481,Edificio Acuario. they give me dollars in the amount of the check,no commision,or pesos at the days exchange rate.You need to set up this relationship with the owner in advance,don,t just walk-in and expect to cash a check.Ask to see Don Silverio Cruz.The less you do with Dominican banks the better.Use your US.credit cards if you must us a credit card,and check for double billing,especially at restaurants.
