Villa Olga is a real nice neighborhood, composed of middle and upper middle class. BTW I love going there because of the fine girls!!

santiago is much bigger than most cities in DR but santiago is really not all that big. Villa olga is a very nice place where you would find the best of everything in santiago. Its a residencial area but does have some small bars and restaurants. Like i said, santiago is really not all that big, you can reach almost any part of santiago in less than 15 minutes from point A to point B. So when you ask how far is sosua from villa olga then what you are really asking is how far is sosua from santiago. I suggest that you open up a map and see the country. santiago is about 1 hour to 1 1/2hours away from sosua.
Unlike the girls that you would find in sosua, (generally speaking), the santiago girls are not so easy as you would like them to be. If you had met her on the computer so I would imagine that she is from a decent enough family who can afford to have a PC and an internet connection installed in the house. well, if she lives in villa olga then this would mean the girl is from a decent family. That means that if you ask her out, you may have to go to her house to pick her up and to be introduced to her family. Then she might be able to go out with you if accompanied by a friend or a cousin (you pay for everyone).
she may not be allowed to go out with you to the beach or to anywhere else outside of santiago.
Girls are very beautiful here and very gentle and respectful.
Most decent type girls don't really care so much if you are a foreigner; they won't cling on to you as the ones from sosua or boca chica. many girls from decent (well-to-do families) spend their summer vacations on USA on yearly bases.
So don't get your hopes very high my friend, do your homework before you get so excited.
See her picture first and talk to her on the phone. Girls from santiago will promise you a world but deliver very little when the situation calls for.
Again, villa olga is a small residencial area with-in santiago. Generally considered a middle to upper class neighborhood. Girls are very pretty and sexy in santiago (as a whole).
Best places to visit: tribecca bar- upper class american standard bar with a twist of middle eastern atmosphere. The best looking girls would be found there. But be aware, they are not so easy to pick up. take your dominican friend there. she would love it.
Francifol cafe is a bit cheaper place to be in and the crowd is also of a better class.
Just ask your friend and she will take you all over the santiago if she is able to.
have fun

Not a bad place. The apartments consist of two and three bedroom units and are located just off the expressway over by the university. I have been in several of those units and all things considered, they are better than many Dominican homes I have been in. They are not located far from the monument but I wouldn't consider it walking distance.
