Default A question on banking in the DR?

Is the banking in the DR still tax free on Interest recieved?

Free from local taxes YES. If you are Amrican though, I am sure you still have to notify the IRS on your earnings so that you can be taxed in the States. Why use a bank though? There are other, more profitable but just as safe ways of investing. Search the archives for info on this subject &/or drop me an e-mail. Grahame.
