Rudi,
I've never been to Bavaro Palace, but went on a second-honeymoon type of trip to Uvero Alto and was very pleased. It is an adult-only resort (this may make your decision for you) that is geared more toward the romantic holiday crowd. There is a jacuzzi in every room, 24 hour room service (included in the all inclusive), and all restaurants are a la carte sit-down service except for breakfast. The food quality was extremely high, truly gourmet quality. You have imported liquors, wines and beers along with the domestic included in the all-inclusive, which is a nice (and I've found unusual in the all-inclusive hotels) addition. My wife and I were very pleased with every aspect of this hotel and hope to make a visit there an annual event. For more detailed and certainly better written reviews on both hotels, you should refer to www.debbiesdominicantravel.com for additional information. Hope this helps and whichever you choose, I'm sure you'll have a great trip.

Hi Keith,
thank you for your response. I know all reports at Debbie`s home page, but I have two more questions: Is it right that you have to get up early to get a reservation for dinner? And do they offer lobster und shrimps at the beach restaurant? Thanks a lot.....
