is your internet slow?

Please tell me that i am not the only one whose internet speed has come to a screeeetching halt. I use tricom internet connection 56K modem which connects at 53.333kps but the data transfer takes forever. To download a webpage takes 2 years.
I have always enjoyed a fast connection until the recent WTC attack. Does it have something to do with the phone lines being damaged? Does someone know how long would it be before the problem is resolved?

I've had problems getting on line since Saturday. I think it's traffic. Phone lines transfer at best 28.8 no matter what your modem can handle. The more people on line, the more data being transferred. Hang in there.

I have a dsl line in Miami and fast like hell.

I meant to say the internet connection is DR is slow at the moment or is it just my modem? I have tricom line and internet. It used to be much faster but lately (since last tuesday) my internet is slow as a turtle.
Please help.

I have dsl through codetel and my computer is not acting normally. Some websites I can access fairly quickly, others take forever, assuming that I can even connect. Glad to see your posting azb, since I was beginning to think that the problem was with my computer
