Re: TROPICAL DEPRESSION 11 FORECAST
There is no reason to be alarmed at this time. TD#11 still poorly organized and considerable distance from Puerto Rico and Hispanola. However, it has some potential for further organization, so may become a tropical storm. But keep in mind that winds of 40 mph are sufficient to make this classification. Hurricanes have winds of at least 75 mph. At this point the hurricane monitoring center does not expect this depression to become a serious hurricane. What is presently thought is that within a day or two from now the south coast of the Dominican Republic may experience strong gusting wind and rain.
Keep monitoring, but do not leap to conclusions.
