Default Hillbilly - A question for you

What's the deal on Principe Cigars? They are as cheap as dirt, yet they seem to be a "not that bad" smoke. I've bought them a couple of times at a cigarette/cigar shop in sosua. (I'm not sure the name of the place, but it's a large air conditioned "official looking" place on a corner with a bank machine on the side of the building.) Any opinion or comment, and do you have any idea what the name of this place is?

Thanks,
Mark

Default Mark

Is it right across from Hotel Sosua, and beside another bank? The Plaza is all white?

Right ansewer!I think that the fact that they seem to be "fresh" plays a part in their taste! I buy them by the "box", which is really 10,5 packs wrapped together.I buy them at the Supermercado Pola.Comes to about 5 pesos each. Criss

It's in it's own free-standing building, not far from a pub with dozens of british football and NA hockey jerseys hanging from the ceiling. Across the intersection is what appears to be a new "mall type" building. This new construction (or at least it appears new) is one of the larger commercial buildings in that part of sosua. The cigar shop is a very nice place with two entrances, one on the front and on on the side by the banking machine. There's liquor on the left side of the store, and all types of cigars and cigs on the right. Any idea what the name of this place is now? It's about 10 minutes walk (not towards sosua beach) from the Casa Marina.

When I have a good hour and a half,I like to sit quietly, preferably alone or with another "aficionado",and smoke and enjoy a fine cigar! However when I can,t,or I don,t have the time,I do enjoy a Principe.Let us know if you smoke one.Criss

Default The Super Super Store (EDDY???)

Or something like that. The bar with the jerseys is Eddy's Sports Bar, the best in town. My cousins live in a house right across from the Super Super. If Eddy is reading, he will be able to verify the name.

Default Super Super Store (Hi Trina)

They have a large assortment of Cigars and Liquors. I am not an expert on Cigars so can't vouch for quality but as a rule they are pretty legit.
