Default Playa Maimon - Riu Merengue/Riu Mambo

hi, who has been to this area, Playa Maimon where the hotels Riu Merengue en Riu Mambo are situated??
Are there disco's in the neighbourhood? is there a local market, are there other shops and other hotels in Playa Maimon, what is it like?

We stayed in the Riu Mambo last year and enjoyed it so much we are returning this Wednesday. There is a night club at the hotel and it's only a short taxi ride to Puerto Plata. There are no other shops in Bahia Maimon, but if you are staying at the hotel there is a courtesy bus into Puerto Plata. I am sure you will enjoy it.

Hello Mandy,

It is Bahia Maimon. I've stayed in the Riu Merengue three times and next year we will go for the fourth time. Everything is excellent there. There is a disco in the resort. It is a very good one but there are also very good disco's in Puerto Plata. You can take a cab an in 15 minutes you can dance in a disco in Puerto Plata. Very good are La Baricca,Crazy Moon, Adromedia and Hemmingways is a very good pub with live music. If you have more questions you can always ask me or send me an e-mail.

I agree with you. Santiago has some real nice clubs and lots of fun party people. The Gran Almirante has OK rooms, a nice downstairs club and a casino with lots of nice chics gaming.
