Default Renovate your residency the VIP way !!

Migración has a new & rapid VIP plan for renovating your residency that is quite nice. You pay the normal $ 800 rd for the card plus the $ 281+pico rd for the stamps and your new residency will be ready in about a week. However, if you pay an additional $ 500 rd for the VIP plan, your new residency will be ready in around 30 minutes, give or take. Mine took about 5 minnutes! I went in around 9:00 am and left at 9:15 am with my residency in hand! This assumes that you have previously renovated with the new computer system so that you (and your) photo are in the computer. Also the new migración office (malecon, beside aqua & luz theatre) has plenty of free parking, easy access and plenty of directional signs and information booths; very modern and efficient. Quite a nice change from before.

Default And the best....

....you don't even have to go there. I sent a friend with my old one, no signature needed, nothing, they handed him out the new one. Not even a trip to Sto. Dgo. necessary....

Keith, Thanks for the updated information. I need to renew my Cedula (non voting). Have you had any recent experience in doing that? Where did you go to get yours? Thanks

Default Silonius,

sorry about the delay in response, I had to go over to Miami and just got back. But to answer you question, no, I haven't had to renovate my cedula yet so I'm not sure how that is currently working. I'll ask around at work today and see if anyone has any info on that and let you know if anything comes out of my inquiries.
