I agree. At this late stage in the year, $460 might be as good as they come. You won't want to hear what I am about to say, but US Airways had a Carribbean fare for $268 RT through March 2001 two weeks ago. The fare sale ended on September 30, 2001. You may want to sign up with both Travelocity and Expedia Fare Watcher. Providing both sites with your originating city, destination, and preferred price range. They will notify you if there there is both a price change or drop to your preferred fare. One thing you and everyone should think about. We are in some strange times in wake of the events of September. Hard to predict the direction the travel industry will move in light of increased security, the fear of flying, and continous threats on America. Having said that. In July 2000 I booked a RT ticket to Santo Domingo for Carnival in February 2002 for $218 RT, a record breaking steal. These type of deals come and go, and at unpredictable times. With many destinations being desperate for business, and the airlines suffering so greatly, I would not be at all surprise if the Thanksgiving holiday brings a "bag full" of fare goodies. Michael
