Taxi-Trasfers!! URGENT !!

Hello together!!! i have a important question! how long does a taxi-transfer from PUNTA CANA (airport) to SANTO DOMINGO! i will arrive in punta cana at 17.20 pm. and i must be in santo domingo at 20.00 pm! i hope it is possible! i need an answer so fast as it is possible! thanks a lot and kisses from switzerland! tanja

There is just no way to drive fast in the night, as the lights are pretty poor and lots of cars and bikes do not have the proper illmination!

So you might have to change your drive schedule or flight to get your appointment done! You should even consider delays in the flight time, as security control is boosted up heavily on airports!

I did that same thing about 2 months ago. You are not allowing yourself enough time. My taxi drive took a short cut through some sugar cane fields which cut a lot of time off of going through Higüey but it still was 2 hours just to San Pedro. In the evening it will be worse.

If you dont have a choice, maybe you can catch Air Santo Domingo from Punta Cana into the capital and then get a cab to Las Americas. That will depend on Air Santo Domingo's Schedule.

In Dominican time you will make it. In real time it is not possible. Try not to stress about it. If it is an appointment that you have simply call the person and explain. If it is a flight that you need to catch you will need to change your arrangements. Call the airports or your airlines and check with them. Security is very tight at all airports right now so that may help or hurt your schedule. Airline schedules are not predictable as usual under the circumstances. Good Luck

I make in september the same trip but from SD to PC .
I did it with a taxi . It cost 1500 pesos and 5 hours with the cab .
When you arrive you need 1 hour to pike up you luggages and the rest . Also speak first a price with the taxi . This is very important .
