Default Teacher

I am a teacher in the U S and I'm seriously thinking about relocating to the Dominican to teach. Can anyone tell me how the job market looks for teachers. I am a certified Business teacher with an endorsement in Elementary education. I am also bilingual. I can teach anything!!!

You shouldn't have any trouble finding something. Santo Domingo best place to start; they have the largest international schools there.

Lots of bilingual schools that constantly need teachers. You should come for an exploratory visit. Schools usually hire in February/March for the next year. You might consider the new UNICDA. They are a technical university, a bilingual language school and a grade school/high school. I have emailed you the person who is in charge of the university programs.

Default Speaking of which...

I saw today an add, the I.C. Dominico-Americano is looking for teachers for the opening of two new schools. Why don't you contact them at (809)535-0665 or 533-8809.

Good luck.

In addition to Dominico-Americano, try contacting Carol Morgan School(usually hires at international fairs)St. George School, and St. Thomas School, among others. Santo Domingo is the city to be in for this.
