Default small villages

I am traveling to the DR in Febuary and would like to visit or stay in small safe towns in the south coast. I would like to avoid the vendor attack. What villages are both east and west of Boca Chica. I checked the archives and really did not find any good information I need. Thank you

You will not be able to avoid vendors anywhere in any town or village. You can only avoid it in resort hotels with private beaches. East of Boca Chica is the village of Juan Dolio with its public and semi-private beaches. West of Boca Chica, beyond Santo Domingo and San Cristobal is Palenque Beach. Then there are towns like Bani that has the Beach Dunes. The port of Las Calderas west of Bani is an interesting place with nearby flat top mountains that can be toured by horseback. But if you don't mind eco-tourism without beaches, the nicest village or town is up north about 1 1/2 hours on Carretera Duarte. This is Jarabacoa, a mountainous scenic town with river falls and rapids. It is known for beautiful women.
