Default living in soceity in the d.r./att:loren and jim

we'll guys and girls let me explain it this way. i was only trying to see what i could find in the d.r. without help from soceity which ya'll say i"m lying. we'll if i'm lying take a look at the soceity magazines in april and june additions and look at charles vandergriff and giselle rivas wedding and we got married at the san regina in old santo domingo. sometime maybe i'm trying to do this myself without help from family in the d.r. NOW, while we are getting real with this lets talk about all these fake ass europeans and canadians on this msg board trying to act like they are dominicans and trying to teach people english on here. NOW, when i get on a damn computer i'm typingfast and i'm not some freakin nerd that proof reads every word and trys to write perfect english you freakin chopo's losers -no class and probaly lives in villa durate. i just tried to get a freakin job in the d.r. and satisfy my in laws and wife by moving down there but i didn't know that people are so jealeous for people like me in soceity and have 150,000.00 us weddings and people like milly to sing in your wedding. we'll when you have a father-n-law who is very rich and a lawyer in santo domingo and a mother-n-law who owns a boutique for children who is in the magazines down there (you know her flor de then -rivas) and my father-n-law brother is polon who is the prosecutor in santo domingo and chino villaman who is family and is tied with the gov't (hateuy del camps) i guess people are just wanta be dominicans and jealeous people instead of representing your new found country to invite americans are others to live there or visit there you are turning them away!! AND REMEMBER WITHOUT THE UNITED STATES AND TOURISM DOMINICAN REPUBLIC WILL DYE!!!!!!

1. Sorry Cejay but I think you will find most tourism in the Dominican is European

2. Who are the fake Dominicans? Names please.

3. Maybe you read the society, sorry, soceity pages. How do we know who you are?

4. Your way of communicating is definately NOT high society. More like teenage chat room twerp. Don't want to classify you as a nerd since you have denied being one.

5. Do you know Sarah Irene...you might get along well together.

6. Not only are you a snob but boring...you are the weakest link...goodbye!

Sinceramente

Default High Society & the Gov.

if your in-laws are active in the Gov.(especially with DeCamps) then they are not of High Dominican Society. High Society in the DR owns the Gov but would never ever be "in" the Gov!

Default OOOhh I'd love to answer that....however,

you have to admit that your English 101 teacher at UT, (Hooray for LSU, by the way!!) would not have approved.
Here is one hint. Your new Dominican family will smother you if you give them a chance...

Default Gentlemen, this IS a true Dominican lady!

Giselle, I can see where you are coming from, in English or en Español.

Default Enough is enough

Cejay and Giselle, you made a mistake. You came in into an already built in community and posted a question. When you did not like your responses, you got offended and decided to respond in a very defensive way. The mistake was made when you started to say what you do, what you have, who you know, what makes you better, where you live, who your family is, etc. In reality, rather than trying to prove that you are a better person by going on and on about these characteristics you claim you posses and continuing to do so with such errors in your writing, I think your mission would have been accomplished if you had just simply let it go and asked your question again. Don't let a message board completely change the way you feel about Dominicans, and definitely don't let people who you will probably never meet get to you like this. Try to understand where TW, Loren and the rest are coming from, because I tell you one thing, nothing makes me more upset than to see a Latino, especially Dominican who does not speak or write Spanish well. I cannot stand to hear a Dominican say "I'm Dominican, my parents do not speak English and I don't know Spanish" that irritates me. I came to the USA when I was nine, and 15 years later, I dominate my native language and will continue to do so. The good thing is that you guys acknowledge your language flaws and are willing to learn, but just one little advice, in the process you probably should not argue and compete with those who can teach you. I'm sorry I cannot help you with your situation, if I had an answer for you, I would definitely advise and make suggestions. I wish you both the best of luck. As far as Sarah Irene goes, honey, you claim you are only 15, then act 15 and try to respect your elders. Because of the way they "attacked you" I bet you look twice at your grammar before posting...that means you became aware of a writing problem you may have. Best regards,
Ana Maria (Green-Pea, AnaBanana)

Default HB: I resent your words!

If it wasn't cause I know you are a master of sarcasm I would be offended.

If I ever used that language in front of my mom I would not have a good tooth in my mouth. I don't know if the woman in question was raised as a proper lady but I can assure you that you will not hear that language from me. I know those words, and I know plenty more, but I just don't use them. I wouldn't talk like that even if I don't come from the "soceity"(sic) she came from, after all I am just a poor girl from a one-horse town (some people might even argue that it is actually a no-horse town).
