Need Info for Climbing Pico Duarte

Hi,

I'm going to be in Sosua from Jan 5 to the 19th. One of the many things I'd like to do while I'm there is to go the the top of the highest mountain in the Caribbean - Pico Duarte.

Does one need to hire a guide? Is anyone else interested in doing the same thing? Any info welcome.

You need a guided tour, there is no other way to get up there, you are talking about a National Park!
