I know the rules are different for the states but, My wife was refused a visiter's visa to Canada when we were girlfriend/boyfriend and probably for the same reasons they will give you.Your girlfriend must have a good reason to go back to the Dominican Republic and only the Embassy will decide what that is, she must have money, no debts...etc. If her bank account isn't in the Plus by several thousand US dollars, forget it. I know there are lots of people that have been burned by Dominicans, I hope your girlfriend isn't one of them. My WIFE HAS NO DESIRE TO HAVE ANY OF HER RELATIVES LIVE WITH HER IN CANADA AND THAT INCLUDES HER MOTHER.
Having said all those negative things, give your relationship some and if it's really love , marry her and either move her to the states or move to the Dominican.Good Luck.
