Any good reason why the owners of this disco are charging $50 CDN for a bottle of rum. That price would even scare the tourists away. I'm sure the locals find it scandalous.

I think the price is scandalous, in Charamicos at the bodega Chevere you pay 25 pesos for the bottle of 75 cl of rhum brugal.
And a servicio costs around 35 pesos there.
